Hockey Club

Alverton Hockey
Alverton has recently started a hockey club which is run on the Yr3/4 playground. It has been such a great success as we have 49 children who attend!
Mrs Dennison (the coach) has  put two great teams together to play within the PenWith League. So far the A team have played a total of 7 matches and have scored over 15 goals! Both teams have played extremely well and we are getting better each week.
The team is very excited by the semi-final which is to be played in February and can't wait to see how we get on.
Good luck!

Regional Finals- Hockey

On Thursday 23rd March, Alverton A hockey team went over to Somerset to play in the regional finals after qualifying as county champions. All the winners from each county played against each other at Millfield School. It was amazing! The grounds and facilities were unbelievable and we were nervous to begin with. Unfortunately, we didn't win any games but we only lost by 1 or 2 goals per game which was fantastic considering all the schools that were there have their own Astro turfs to practise on. Overall we did not get through to the semi finals but we are all still happy that we are the best in our county! By Alfie and Gonzalo
