Alverton School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. To achieve our commitment, we will ensure the continuous development of robust safeguarding processes and procedures that promote a culture of safeguarding amongst our staff and volunteers.

Welcome to our information page for parents of children who will be starting school in Kittiwakes and Curlews classes in September. We will be updating the page on a regular basis and hope that you will find it useful.
Below you will find a short video made by year 6 pupils about our school and what they have loved and are going to miss about Alverton.
There is also a video from our Headteacher, Mr Higgs, welcoming you to our school community.
There is a slide show presentation which includes lots of information about starting in reception class and what to expect.
Class teachers will also be posting video messages here for the children to watch so that they can become familiar with some of the adults in their new class.
We are aware that this can be a daunting time for parents of children who are new to our school community. If you feel that there is something we are missing that could help allay any fears and address any questions for other parents please don't hesitate to contact the school and let us know.
We wish you and your families good health and best wishes,
Mrs Hall and Miss Hooton
