Home Learning For the Week beginning Monday 6th July

Friday Project

Thank you for the great work sent to me on this - some excellent films made!

Good Morning Bodrifty!

We spent all of last week in school, madly cleaning and sorting the many things that are needed to make the school ready for the Year 6 children this week and all of you in September.

Today Year 6 will start back for the final 2 weeks and I will be teaching a 'bubble' of them in Bodrifty each day. Because of this, I will not be able to be on Showbie, answering your questions and queries so have agin set some home learning which you can crack on with on your own, without us in the background. This is how it is going to work:

Firstly, I will not be putting new work on each day, but will give you instructions at the start of the week telling you which daily tasks to complete.

Secondly, I will be looking at Showbie for a while each evening, so if you have produced something amazing which you would like to show me then put it on, but for everything else, there is no need for you to upload results or work.

Don't forget the poetry competition from The Edge of the World bookshop! Details are below.

You have a choice of reading activities

I have attached a reading comprehension each day or/

Read Theory to practise your reading and comprehension - just 10 minutes a day would really help.

Spelling Shed - I have set the Year 5 and 6 list as your assignment to go on when you want.

Lessons- We have got some lessons based on the film Cloudy with Meatballs.

Click on link below for weekly plan.

I really really want you to go on Reflex Maths as much as possible - if you could start YeAr Six knowing your times tables, you will find Maths so much easier!

If you have already completed the pyramid - feel free to use it to keep testing yourself

or/ I have set some tasks on My Maths if you want extra Maths practise.

This week is going back over some key number skills.

I have set a link each day on BBC Bitesize to practise different money skills.

Click on the link below for the weekly plan with the links.

I have provided a few different activity grids for you to look at.

Choose something you fancy doing each day. Maybe try using a different grid each day!
