Introduction

Once again this year, our transition arrangements look rather different as, normally, you would have the opportunity to meet with your child's new teacher and come to a meeting about next year. We are still carefully following guidelines and so have put the following arrangements in place.

Your child’s new teacher will be in contact with you to introduce themselves, to let you know what is planned and to provide you with information about life in their class. They have also produced information about your child's new class which you can find here under the relevant Key Stage.

At the start of a new academic year, it is natural that you or your child may have concerns or things that you would like to discuss with their new teacher. If you need to speak to any of the staff, please do not hesitate to phone Mrs Gill and Mrs Stacey in the office who will be able to put you in contact with them. The majority of anxieties are easily addressed and reassured to enable your child to continue along the happy and successful journey at Alverton that they have enjoyed this far.

We continue to regularly review our plans and respond to guidelines that we are given and, if there are any changes to our arrangements, we will let you know as soon as we can.
